Allison enjoys spending time outdoors and exploring the DC area with her husband Frank and dog, Lily. She loves yoga, baking and traveling and in her spare time volunteers with an animal rescue organization.

Meet Allison Tepper, MS, RD, LDN, RYT

Allison is dedicated to helping clients achieve their goals through a personalized lifestyle approach that honors each individual’s unique needs. Certified in Intuitive Eating since 2013, she guides clients in building healthier relationships with food and their bodies. Her compassionate, non-diet approach addresses all aspects of well-being including movement, body acceptance, stress management, and mindfulness. Allison approaches her work from a Health At Every Size® (HAES®) perspective, promoting inclusivity and long-term well-being.

Experience 

Allison has extensive counseling experience working with clients with needs ranging from emotional eating, eating disorders, IBS, nutrition therapy for disease states, and more. She began her career working at a Virginia-based counseling company, followed by working as the Dietitian at Georgetown University in their dining services program.

In addition to her counseling work, Allison is an adjunct instructor in the Department of Health Studies at American University. She also contributes to the field as a board member of the DC Metro Chapter of the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP) and as a member of the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce.

Education

Allison earned her Master’s degree in Health Promotion Management with a concentration in Health Communication from American University in Washington, DC. Additionally, she is a certified 200-hour Yoga Teacher and completed her training at Easy Day Yoga in Ashburn, Virginia.
